It's about time I got to this! Hahaha! This is Serena Colburt in her elemental uniform for IDreamOfTheWind 's contest . This is my character that I created for 's Wind Saga series. ^w^ Here's a massive bio about Serena.

Personality: She's a very outgoing and bubbly girl with a go-with-the-flow type of attitude. She absolutely loves music, and tends to spend her free time playing a harp or a flute
Likes: Water, Swimming, Ice, Orca whales, Every sea creature, Dragons, Water dragons, Harps, Flutes, and Having fun, Going to the aquarium with her father
Dislikes: Violence, Being ignored, Being teased, Bullies, Coffee, Tea, Oranges, Wearing her hair up, and wearing her swim cap
Favorite Food: Anything with chocolate
Favorite color: Any shade of blue or aqua 

Bio: 
Serena is an only child who lives in large secluded house off of the Pacific Coast of Monterey, California with her father. Her father is a Marine Biologist who works at the local university during the school year, and often goes out to sea to study the behaviors and habits of the different species of cetaceans of the bay during the summer. Since he regrets that he doesn't spend enough time with Serena, to make up for his absence he always brought her small gifts to give to her when he returns. One of those gifts was a plushy orca whale hat that Serena never seems to take off, unless forced. Serena adores orcas, and inherited her love for sea life from her father, whom she missed quite often when he's away for days or weeks at a time. To pass the time away, Serena would often take walks on the beach, swim in the ocean, or practice playing her flute or harp.

Ever since she was 4 years old, Serena always felt that she had some sort of connection with the sea as if she were a part of it. She never knew about the Elemental Organization until she was magically transported there in an aqua colored orb. The orb did not come to her until after she saved a young girl from drowning in the oncoming tide. When she was strolling down the seaside one summer morning, she heard a woman's scream and a bunch of commotion down the shore. She looked at the water and saw a young 4-5 year-old girl get swept away by a large oncoming wave. Concerned for the little girl, Serena ran and jumped into the water to save her. When she found the little girl, she grabbed her and somehow was able to manipulate the water to carry both of them to the safety of the shore. After realizing what she had done, another wave came up behind her and pulled her under the water. A bright aqua colored light surrounded her from under the water, and a rushed feeling overwhelmed her as the orb began to move. When the ride was over, she ended up in a quiet place with a long spiral staircase descending down towards a faint light. She never knew that it would lead her to the Elemental Organization.

Serena was surprised that she ended up in the organization dry--hat and everything. After wandering around the place confused, a water elemental instructor came to her and told her about the organization and helped her to feel at home there. The instructor introduced herself and even personally helped Serena discover her elemental talents. Afterwards, the instructor wanted to treat Serena and took her to see the water dragons. There were water dragons of all sizes in the pool and they somehow all took a liking to Serena, which really surprised the instructor as they didn't really take to new or unfamiliar people well. A small winged water dragon popped up out of the pool and approached Serena with a smile. The instructor told her that the water dragon was one of the guardian animals that didn't like to be cooped up in a cage, and preferred to be in the water with the other water dragons. "It seems that he has picked you to be his companion," she told her. Serena named the dragon Drauga and from then on they have been the best of companions. Drauga often accompanies her by sitting on her shoulder or by flying right next to her. 

It took a while for Serena to settle into the organization. Some of the instructors tend to get annoyed with her since she refuses to put her hair up in a ponytail or wear a swim cap with goggles when training. Some of the other water elementalists even make fun of her for wearing the orca hat outside of training, which really upsets her. From time to time, the instructors force her to wear her hair up and wear her swim cap, which really annoys her. She prefers to let her hair down so that it can flow with water freely and not jumbled up in a swim cap. To pass the time at the Elemental Organization, Serena talks and plays with Drauga, and sometimes plays her small harp or flute around the place. When she first met Avia and her crew Serena felt very timid to talk to them at first--thinking that if she asked to be friends and hang out with them that they would reject her. Instead, she watched them from a distance trying to figure out what the crew was up to. When she found out that they were going on an adventure, she couldn't help but barge into their discussion and offered to help them on their quest. Even though she didn't go with them on their journey, Serena was still very thrilled that she could help the crew in some way.
